Ultimate Wow Warrior Guide - Click Here!Grinding Out Your Levels!

From a person who has written more than one WoW Warrior Guide for World of Warcraft I can confess that levelling can be extremely fun and extremely tedious both at the same time.  The quests in sections can be almost as boring because of the fact you have to kill 10 of this, 10 of that. Gather 20 of this, bring it to that etc.  This isn’t the most ideal way to level up as a WoW warrior and in fact can become very boring very quickly.

When you set out to level as a warrior in World of Warcraft, there are many things you must keep in mind.  If you are a melee class, you like to fight physical melee type monsters.  If you are a caster class, you can fight either.  Tanks can also fight either type, but may find slight difficulties in fighting casters as it’s hard to keep them locked down so they don’t just stand back and cast spells at you!

When you hear the term “grinding”, it is very simple terms used in gaming speak to indicate when you are killing a certain type of monster over and over again, and just using them for experience. You may have heard about grinding in another wow warrior guide.  Well, this (grinding) may be the best option for killing time between instance runs and ensuring you keep leveling, or even while you are waiting for help on some more difficult world of warcraft quests.

Some classes kill multiple monsters at once, using Area of effect spells or abilities.  Some like to just rapidly kill one monster after the other, as the experience and loot they generate can occasionally turn out better than the actual questing itself.

In another WoW Warrior Guide I read that Grinding is More Effective Than Questing. Is this true?

Grinding versus Questing is the age old gaming question.  The answer is always very situational because there are many factors to consider when you are trying to maximize your experience.  You need to weigh the respawn rate of the monsters you are killing, versus the speed with which you could complete a quest.

Also the amount of experience per kill, versus the amount you would get from the quest reward plus the monsters you have to kill to complete the quest.  As you can probably see the calculations can sometimes get a bit ridiculous and simply come down to personal gamer preference and playing style.<

What Type of People Prefer Grinding to Questing?

People who enjoy grinding have a few popular responses as to why.  One of those is convenience.  Sometimes they can only play the game for small blocks of time at once and in doing this find it easier to park themselves out in an area thick with monsters of a level equal or lesser then theirs.  Some of the more “hardcore” Wow grinders will fight elite or higher level mobs to try and expand the amount of experience that they will intake. Actually this is a good paragraph of this particular wow warrior guide to keep in mind. Make sure you are happy with what you’re doing in the game and measure up on how it suits your style, i.e. if you’re a heavy player of world of warcraft then you might go with quests, if not grinding might be your thing as it’s quicker.

People sometimes grind mobs when looking for a specific item to drop from them.  Things like recipes and materials can drop from these monsters and can take a considerable amount of time to farm.  It can be a precisely targeted practice, which requires you to kill a certain monster over and over, and occasionally kill monsters to free up spawn points, for the type you are looking for.

What are “Spawn Points”?

The last thing I want to explain in this wow warrior guide is ‘Spawn points’. Spawn points are the locations in the game where the monsters are generated.  In some areas two monster types will share the same spawn point, and when one area is saturated with one type of monster, you may in fact have to kill it to give a chance for the one you are looking for to spawn.

These spawn points are helpful when grinding for a specific item because it means if you know what you are looking for you will be able to easily lockdown the area it could be in.
