With all the new delicious recipes and fantastic food that will improve your performance in raids, cooking achievements will lead you to one of the most wanted titles in WoW – the “Chef”, and loads of daily quests, cooking became the most popular secondary profession in Wow. Same as in real life so in the game, drinks and food are of the most importance. Together with other buffs and flasks, food will contribute to your overall performance in raid and it will give you better results on the damage or healing meter or make you more durable and lasting as a tank. It’s important to gain the knowledge from a reputable wow cooking guide and master this second profession as fast as possible to progress in Wow.

A real cook values his/her profession so (s)he will try to get all the recipes possible while leveling and after. With the WotLK expansion cooking profession made a real progress and it is not considered to be a boring profession that you only take when you have nothing better to do.

Cooking and fishing

Cooking is often being related to fishing and even though these two professions match each other you don’t have to have fishing in order to level up cooking. Actually many wow cooking guides leave this out. It would make leveling of cooking easier if you would have fishing as well but it isn’t a must. Fun part when it comes to fishing comes later on when you will have many fishing daily quests and some cooking daily quests where fishing could be of help, not to mention the fun achievements which you could with fishing. The choice is of course yours, just look up a wow cooking guide for cooking and a fishing guide for fishing and you’ll learn which best interests you.

Cooking trainers

When it comes to the recipes, while you’re leveling you can obtain most of the recipes from cooking trainers which could be found in major capital cities as well as in smaller cities.

For Alliance

Apprentice cooking (1- 75) and Journeyman cooking (75 – 150) trainers:

    * Cook Ghilm – found in Dun Morogh
    * Daryl Riknussun – found in Ironforge
    * Crystal Boughman – found in the Redridge Mountains
    * Stephen Ryback – found in Stormwind
    * Gremlock Pilsnor – found in Kharanos, Dun Morogh
    * Alegorn - found in Darnassus

For Horde

Apprentice cooking (1- 75) and Journeyman cooking (75 – 150) trainers:

    * Zamja – found in Orgrimmar
    * Eunice Burch – found in the Undercity
    * Aska Mistrunner – found in Thunder Bluff

In order to train Expert cooking and your skill to 225, both Alliance and Horde players will need to purchase an Expert Cookbook sold by two vendors – Shandrina in Ashenvale and Wulan in Desolace. This book is basically like a wow cooking guide book and could be also found on the Auction House but is usually far more expensive than when you buy it from these two vendors.

To train cooking skill to 300 and become an Artisan cook, both Alliance and Horde players will need to do a quest called Clamlette Surprise. Dirge Quikcleave. The quest giver could be found in Gadgetzan, Tanaris.

Master cooking skill will take you to 375 and could be trained for both Alliance and Horde players in Cenarion Refuge in Zangarmarsh at npc called Naka.

For Alliance

Grand Master cooking (375 - 450) trainers:

    * Brom Brewbaster – found in Northrend capital –Dalaran
    * Orn Tenderhoof – found in the Howling Fjord
    * Rollick MacKreel – found in Borean Tundra

For Horde

Grand Master cooking (375 - 450) trainers:

    * Awilo Lon'gomba – found in Northrend capital -Dalaran
    * Orn Tenderhoof – found in the Howling Fjord  
    *  Thomas Kolichio – found in Borean Tundra
