World of Warcraft Warlock Guide
Note: This is page 2 of our World of Warcraft Warlock Guide,
for page 1 please go back to Wow Warlock Guide (page 1)
The Voidwalker
Voidwalkers are great early on tanks to
assist the warlock in getting used to its spells and
rotations, but as the warlock increases in level, the
voidwalker will have a harder time holding the threat from
the warlock, and eventually it will become nearly
impossible. Using the voidwalker to tank past level
20 is not recommended. If you have problems with
monsters getting too up close and personal, simply use
your fear to push them away and keep on attacking them.
There are plenty of world of warcraft warlock guides out
there to explain how to use the voidwalkers and help you
get the best out of them.
Use the Fear
Fear is a useful tool for any warlock to use, but it has to
be used with extreme caution. You cannot use fear
recklessly as fear can cause any fight to become a bad thing
for you by attracting additional monsters. If it is
crowded when you are pondering using fear, then you shouldn’t
use it. If it is a life or death situation, then only use
it if it will allow you to survive in the end. On a lot
of elite monsters and boss monsters, fear will not work and
would be nothing but a waste of mana. If you are unsure
and want to conserve your mana, then you may want to download
an add-on called “Necrosis”. This add-on will allow you
to not only instantly find out if a monster has immunity to
fear or banish, but will keep track of other aspects of your
warlock, and allow easy access to your pets and curses. Take a
look above for the Ultimate World of Warcraft Warlock Guide and
Leveling Guide to master these tools!
Sometimes the sheer amount of spells, skills and pets that a
warlock can have becomes overwhelming and can cause someone to
shy away from a warlock. This is easily solved with use
of an add-on to keep everything straight and in order. If
you are still unsure about any aspects of your warlock, one of
the best sources of information you will come across will be
other warlocks. A simply /who 80 warlock on any realm,
horde or alliance will yield you any online level 80 warlocks,
and usually some of them will happily answer questions.
So long as your questions are not requests for gold or power
leveling! Alternatively another world of warcraft warlock guide
like this one will do the job too.
A bag O’ Soul Shards
One thing many warlocks forget and many party members also
forget is that a warlock relies heavily on soul shards and a
lot of the things that a warlock does, happen to require soul
shards and they can burn through them rapidly. Warlocks
need to keep a large stack of soul shards at all times, and at
least keep a soul shard bag full at all times. Some
warlocks even suggest keeping extra soul shards inside other
bags to ensure that you don’t run out. Summons can become
very costly, although the new summoning method implemented with
the Wrath of the Lich King expansion has greatly reduced the
amount of soul shards that a warlock consumes by popping up a
summoning portal similar in function to the soul well that
dispenses health stones. This summoning portal can be
used by anyone and only consumes one soul shard.
In the end, a warlock brings a wide array of skills and
talents to your raid or party, and they are very useful in PVP
combat. Including a warlock in any of your end game plans
will definitely be a step in the right direction! Gather as
much info from any world of warcraft warlock guide as you can
